IT automation framework central to driving recurring revenues through managed services business model
Synaxon has partnered with Kaseya, a leading provider of IT systems management software, to launch a package of information, resources and solutions to empower Synaxon resellers to create new revenues through managed and hosted services. The Kaseya® IT Automation™ Framework is a key technology for the initiative, providing resellers with a platform to remotely monitor, support and manage multiple client networks from a single, web-based interface.
The agreement marks Synaxon’s first entry into the services sector and the start of a strategic initiative that will see the dealer group increasingly become a trusted advisor and aggregator for new services and concepts. Specifically, Synaxon will be looking to bring forward market-leading software and services, like the Kaseya® IT Automation™ Framework, that present significant opportunities for resellers, says Derek Jones, Managing Director of Synaxon UK.
“The Kaseya Framework enables resellers to proactively manage and maintain distributed IT infrastructure remotely, through a single, integrated web-based platform, and thus extend the range of services they offer to their customers and move into the fast-growing area of managed and hosted services. The Kaseya approach is proven and highly effective and through this agreement we are giving all our members the opportunity to start addressing what we believe will be a very significant sector of the market.”
Kaseya’s Managed Service Framework is powerful, secure and easy to deploy and administer. It enables managed services providers to reduce complexity and increase productivity and for customers and increase their own profit margins.
Commenting for Kaseya, Mike Sanders, Vice President of Managed Service Provider Sales EMEA, states: “This is a really progressive partnership for both Kaseya and Synaxon – and more importantly, for resellers who want to move into the managed and automated services market. We have an excellent – and proven - value proposition in what is undoubtedly going to be one of the major areas of business growth for the channel over the next five years. As a trusted partner and advisor for hundreds of resellers up and down the UK, Synaxon is ideally-placed to help them understand and start to address this tremendous opportunity.”
In particular, Synaxon provides Kaseya with access to an established SME reseller community. Jones believes that it will be just as vital for smaller resellers to provide hosted services and software, as it is for resellers that address the larger end-user customers. “Remote management and hosted services solutions are perfect for smaller businesses and we believe that SMEs rather than corporates will lead adoption. Using this type of service just makes sense for smaller firms – it delivers lower overall costs and removes the issue of having to manage networks, connectivity and infrastructure in-house. We believe that many resellers would like to offer these services, but simply do not know where to start – they can now with Synaxon. We’ll provide them with the information they need and, by forging relationships with key service providers, give them the opportunity to move into what we believe will be soon become a very important sector of the market for all resellers.”
Jones says that the dealer group will be looking to forge more relationships with services companies in the coming months, as it looks to add further depth and value to its members. As well as managed and hosted services, it will be looking to develop partnerships for software as a service (SaaS).
“We are already providing access to broadband and Internet services providers through our existing relationships and with Kaseya we’re adding remote management to the roster as well. We’ll be aiming to broaden and deepen these offerings in 2010 and SaaS is certainly one area we’ll be looking at. The whole ‘as a service’ opportunity is very exciting and one that we believe will become a key market for independent resellers. Curiosity amongst end users at every level is growing and that will soon translate into real demand so resellers will need to know about hosted services and applications, understand them and be in a position to offer them to their customers quite soon. The time to start that process is now and through this agreement with Kaseya, Synaxon is giving them the perfect opportunity to do that.”
